值阿塞拜疆共和国经济部长沙辛·穆斯塔法耶夫访华之际，中国贸促会、中国国际商会将共同与阿塞拜疆驻华大使馆、阿塞拜疆贸易投资促进会(AZPROMO)于2018年2月6日在北京为随访的阿企业代表团举办中国-阿塞拜疆企业对接会，以进一步巩固和深化中阿经贸关系，加深中阿两国企业的相互了解与交流。届时，阿塞拜疆驻华大使馆特命全权公使纳迪罗格鲁·特穆尔、阿塞拜疆贸易投资促进会(AZPROMO)主席马梅多夫将出席会议。会议将就阿投资环境进行推介，并安排中阿企业就化工、地产、建筑、交通运输、机电设备等领域进行对接洽谈。

Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park (SCIP)

The President of Azerbaijan Republic on December 21, 2011 issued a Decree on establishment of the Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park (SCIP), to ensure necessary environment for development of industrial production on the base of competitive and innovative high technology, promote and support entrepreneurship and stable development of non-oil sector in the country, to increase occupancy of manpower recourses in production sphere.

SCIP aligned with the objectives of this program to tackle the commercial, competitive, knowledge-intensive, the need for a strong domestic market, export-oriented foreign markets envisages the creation of an industrial city.

SCIP has 466,37 hectares of land and large infrastructure has being built in this space. Social zone is designed in modern style and it will create great opportunities for residents and vision to the eye of the beholders in this complex. For instance, high administrative buildings, schools, exhibition and conference hall, dormitories, kindergarten, sports zone, a laboratory building and other buildings such as these will serve residents and workers.

SCIP offer to residents the incentives below:

SOCAR Polymer

SOCAR Polymer is one of SOCAR’s major projects in the processing industry. It was established in 2013 in order to expedite the development of the country’s chemical industry. The SOCAR Polymer investment project is the first of its nature and scale, and is currently building two plants in the Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park, in order to produce 180,000 t of polypropylene (PP) starting from the 1^st quarter of 2018 and 120,000 t of high density polyethylene (HDPE) starting from the 3^rd quarter of 2018.

The project’s main objective is to replace the import and increase the export potential of the country. 30% of the production output will be directed towards the local market; the remaining 70% will be exported to Turkey and other European markets.

The total investment cost of the SOCAR Polymer project is around $750 million.

SOCAR Polymer is the first project in Azerbaijan implemented on the basis of a non-recourse project financing principle, without a guarantee of the parent company. In order to execute the project, SOCAR Polymer has engaged an Italian engineering company, Tecnimont as an EPC contractor. Another leading engineering company, Fluor, was attracted as a PMC contractor to supervise EPC contractor’s activity.

Az-Granata

Az-Granata is one of the largest beverage producers in the South Caucasus region. Company’s Juice and Wine making facility was founded in 2011. It produces fruit juices, concentrates, compotes, wines and vodka. Main focus of exports: pomegranate juice and concentrate. Plant area is 2.5 ha.

The factory consists of fruit receiving, fruit processing, concentrate preparation, aseptic storage, glass filling and packaging, tetrapack filling and packaging divisions. The factory is able to produce 12 tons fruit juice per hour. Fruit receiving facility is suitable for grape, pomegranate, apple, pear, and quince. The following stages such as fruit receiving, purification, sorting, high temperature sterilization, aseptic storage tanks (40 each with 50 ton capacity) are implemented at the plant. The annual production capacity of factory is 100 million of conditional packaging.
