ICC Banking Commission 2019 Annual Meeting held in Beijing

The 2019 annual meeting for the Banking Commission of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) was held in Beijing on April 10. Gao Yan, Chairperson of CCPIT, President of CCOIC and Chairperson of ICC China National Commission, Liu Lianke, governor of Bank of China, John Denton, ICC Secretary-General, and Daniel Schmand, Chairman of ICC Banking Commission who is also Deutsche Bank’s Head of Trade Finance, attended and addressed the annual meeting.

Gao Yan said, the ICC Banking Commission annual meeting is a flagship gala for global trade and finance branding. It serves as an important platform for banking community of all countries to share thoughts, experience and cooperation patterns. Gao hoped the global business community can contribute to the common development of the world amid the trend of economic globalization. The ICC Banking Commission will play its role in promoting the sustainable development of international trade. Gao also expected global financial industry get access to Chinese market to achieve mutual benefit and win-win development of Chinese domestic and international banking industry.

Delegates from banking sector said on occasion of the centenary of the establishment of the ICC, the annual meeting helps establish framework and regulations to support international trade and contributes to the global economic integration.

The annual meeting 2019 was hosted by ICC and organized by CCOIC and ICC China National Commission. Around 700 delegates of financial institutions, law firms and trade companies from 50 countries and regions attended the meeting, hitting a record high in the number of participants and cooperation partners.
