From July 20th to July 23rd, Gao Yan, Chairperson of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) visited Fujian Province, held talks with Yin Li, Secretary of CPC Fujian Provincial Committee, and Wang Ning, Deputy Secretary of CPC Fujian Provincial Committee and Governor of Fujian Province, and signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Zhou Lianqing, a member of the Standing Committee of CPC Fujian Provincial Committee, attended the above talks.
During her stay in Fujian, Gao Yan exchanged views with major officials in Xiamen and Fuzhou on deepening cooperation. In Xiamen, Gao Yan held talks with over 10 enterprises, inspected Xiamen Area of China (Fujian) Pilot Free Trade Zone, Xiamen Cross-Border E-Commerce Industrial Park, and XiamenAir. Gao Yan attended CCPIT panels at the provincial, municipal and county levels, and visited Fujian Forecam Optics Co., Ltd. and Newland Science & Technology Group Co., Ltd.
Gao Yan noted that as the cradle of and an important place to uphold Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, Fujian is focusing its efforts on meeting the important requirements of “making greater progress in stepping up building a modern economic system, making bolder moves in serving and integrating into the country’s new development paradigm, making bigger strides in exploring new approaches for integrated development across the Taiwan Straits, and making greater breakthroughs in helping the people to achieve a higher-quality life”, so as to advance its high-quality development in all respects and explore new paths for cross-straits integrated development. In the new stage of development, implementing the new development concept and fostering the new development paradigm not only put forward new and higher requirements but also provide a broader stage for trade promotion. CCPIT will further leverage its advantages in connecting the government and enterprises, China and foreign countries, and in coordinating supply and demand, deepen all-round cooperation with the People’s Government of Fujian Province to take the development of Fujian Pilot Free Trade Zone and the building of the core area of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road to a new level thus making greater contribution to the socioeconomic development in Fujian and pushing for greater achievements in the collective efforts to build a new development pattern in a new journey.
Officials from the CCPIT General Office, CCPIT Department of Development Research, and CCPIT Fujian Sub-council also joined the visits.
