On October 25, Yu Jianlong, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), met with Mhd. Hasanein Khaddam, Syrian Ambassador to China, and the two sides exchanged views on topics like promoting China-Syria economic and trade exchanges.
Yu Jianlong said that China and Syria enjoy an enduring friendship, close high-level interactions and progressive pragmatic cooperation. CCPIT is willing to work with the Embassy of the Syrian Arab Republic in China to play its role as a trade promotion platform and actively advance cooperation in goods import and export as well as in economic and trade events, so as to enhance exchanges between the business communities of the two countries and bring tangible benefits to the two peoples.
Mhd. Hasanein Khaddam highly commended the positive role of CCPIT in promoting the development of China-Syria economic and trade relations, and expressed willingness to continue close contact with CCPIT to push China-Syria economic and trade relations to a new level.
Officials from CCPIT Department of International Relations and the Bilateral Cooperation Department of the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC) also attended the meeting.
