On October 25, the B20 Indonesia-China Global Dialogue, co-hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and B20 Indonesia Organizing Committee, was held successfully in Beijing. CCPIT Chairman Ren Hongbin attended and addressed the dialogue, B20 Indonesia Chair Shinta Widjaja Kamdani virtually joined it and delivered a speech, and CCPIT Vice Chairman Zhang Shaogang presided over it.
Ren Hongbin pointed out that General Secretary Xi Jinping reiterated in his report to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China that China is committed to upholding world peace and promoting common development, and is dedicated to promoting a human community with a shared future. Changes of the world, of our times and of history are unfolding as never before, posing unprecedented challenges to human society. Against this backdrop, members of B20 Indonesia have conducted extensive discussions and built consensus to lay out policy recommendations and voice business community’s resolve to uphold multilateralism, build a more open and more inclusive international environment for cooperation, create a win-win and mutually beneficial cooperation pattern, and promote global green and sustainable development. Nearly 70 Chinese representatives actively put forward proposals, contributing the wisdom of Chinese business community.
At the dialogue, Co-chair of the B20 Indonesia Task Force on the Future of Work and Education and Executive Vice Chairman of the China Enterprise Confederation Zhu Hongren, Co-chair of the B20 Indonesia Task Force on Digitalization, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and Founder of Alibaba Cloud Wang Jian, and Co-chair of the B20 Indonesia Task Force on Integrity and Compliance and Chairman of the China Machinery Industry Federation Xu Niansha, respectively introduced the policy recommendations of their task force. More than 500 representatives from Chinese business community attended the event online.
