On the afternoon of November 14 local time, Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and leader of a Chinese delegation of entrepreneurs, held talks with the leaders from five Peruvian organizations as part of the China-Peru Business Council, in Lima, during their visit to Peru for the 2024 APEC CEO Summit. The organizations included the Exporters Association (ADEX), the Lima Chamber of Commerce (CCL), the Foreign Trade Society of Peru (ComexPerú), the Peruvian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce (CAPECHI), and the National Society of Industries (SNI) of Peru.
Ren Hongbin expressed his hope that both sides will fully leverage the platform of the China-Peru Business Council to provide enterprises with higher-quality and more comprehensive services in terms of trade, investment, and industrial promotion. He emphasized the need for practical actions to foster collaboration among Chinese and Peruvian business communities, and to continuously move forward China-Peru economic and trade relations. Furthermore, Ren welcomed Peruvian business associations, chambers of commerce, and enterprises to engage in the second China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE).
The Peruvian representatives expressed their willingness to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the CCPIT, actively participate in and support events such as the CISCE and the China-Latin America and the Caribbean (China-LAC) Business Summit, and pursue solid and substantive progress in developing the China-Peru Business Council mechanism. This aims to make greater contributions to boosting pragmatic cooperation between Chinese and Peruvian enterprises.

The China-Peru Business Council was established on June 28, 2024. Under the witness of the two Heads of State, Ren Hongbin and Julio Pérez Alván, a representative of Peruvian business associations and President of ADEX, signed the Memorandum of Understanding between the CCPIT of China and ADEX, CCL, ComexPerú, CAPECHI, and SNI of Peru on the Establishment of the China-Peru Business Council.
