Chinese business community attended B20 Tokyo Summit

The Chinese business community attended the Business 20 (B20) Tokyo Summit held on March 14 to 15. The trip by the Chinese business community was organized by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT). Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe attended and addressed the closing ceremony. Japan’s Minister of Finance Taro Aso, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Hiroshige Seko and Governor of Bank of Japan Haruhiko Kuroda addressed the summit.

A policy proposal document about B20 Tokyo Summit, drafted after nearly four months of consultation, was handed over to Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe at the closing ceremony.

The B20 Tokyo Summit addressed the global challenges and priorities defined by the G20 countries, by building solid consensus amongst business leaders, international organizations and civil society regarding how they should be approached. The construction of social 5.0 and achieving sustainable development goals are major topics for discussion for the summit. Nearly 400 delegates from G20 business community and international organizations attended the summit.
