Ren Hongbin stated that APEC – an important economic cooperation mechanism in the Asia-Pacific region – has been essential in promoting exchanges and cooperation among Asia-Pacific economies and deepening regional economic integration. He hoped the Asia-Pacific business community would continue fueling global economic growth and build stable and smooth global industrial and supply chains. He also emphasized the need to follow the philosophy of sustainable development and promote green and low-carbon development in the Asia-Pacific region. Additionally, he stressed the need to keep in mind what brought us together and support the economic integration of the Asia-Pacific. He said the CCPIT would connect governments and enterprises, domestic and foreign market players, as well as supply and demand sides, and actively promote China’s business community’s engagement in APEC cooperation, contributing more to the building of an Asia-Pacific community with a shared future.

Yu Jianlong, Vice Chairman of the CCPIT, presided over the opening ceremony. Zhang Shaogang, Vice Chairman of the CCPIT and Chinese Representative of the ABAC, delivered a keynote speech. Under the theme of “Pursue High-Quality, Sustainable Development,” the Forum was hosted by the CCPIT and the CCOIC.
