CCPIT is authorized to participate in the BIE (International Exhibitions Bureau) on behalf of China, and is responsible for the organization, coordination, supervision and management of China’s participation in affairs relating to BIE and the World Expo. Since 1982, CCPIT has successfully organized China’s participation in 15 World Expos, including Expo Shanghai 2010, Expo Yeosu 2012, Expo Milano 2015 and Astana Expo 2017, and will organize China’s participation in Expo 2020 Dubai.
CCPIT has presented China’s first self-built National Pavilion overseas to Expo Milano 2015, which is one of the most popular pavilions during the Expo, with a bronze award for large module architectures, and a gold award for recyclability. In addition, CCPIT has participated in China’s bid and hosting of a series of horticultural expos, in Kunming (1999), Shenyang (2006), Xi’an (2011), Qingdao (2014) and Tangshan (2016). The latest event will be the preparation of Beijing Expo 2019.
CCOIC was authorized to be integrated operator of China Pavilion of Astana Expo 2017 and is preparing for participation in China Pavilion of Expo 2020 Dubai. In addition, CCOIC also holds various exhibitions and trade shows across China and leads Chinese companies to attend major exhibitions around the world.
