On March 2nd, the Video Coordination Conference of the Chinese Council of the BRICS Women’s Innovation Competition was held. Gao Yan, Chairperson of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Zhang Shaogang, Vice Chairman of CCPIT, presided over the meeting.
Gao Yan expressed her gratitude to the Chinese Council members for their strong support for the work of the BRICS Women's Business Alliance (BRICS WBA). She stressed that all Chinese Council members should have a deep understanding of the importance of participating in the work of the BRICS WBA, enhance their political stance, be keenly aware of the need to maintain political integrity, think in big-picture terms, follow the leadership core and keep in alignment with the central Party leadership, stay confident in the path, theory, system and culture of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and uphold General Secretary Xi Jinping’s core position on the Party Central Committee and in the Party as a whole and uphold the Party Central Committee’s authority and centralized, unified leadership. In addition, the Chinese Council members should take a holistic view, enhance the awareness of risk prevention, focus on the follow-up work of holding the BRICS Women's Innovation Competition, and combine business cooperation with the BRICS Partnership on New Industrial Revolution to promote economic cooperation and people-to-people exchanges among BRICS, foster new growth drivers for BRICS cooperation, and make BRICS cooperation deeper and more solid.
Ma Lu, Deputy Secretary of the Party committee and Director of China Resources (Group) Co., Ltd.; Wang Shutong, CEO of Dunhuang.com; Wen Jia, Partner and President of Public Affairs of Alibaba Group; Xie Qiuxiang, Vice President of Public Affairs of Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd.; Zhang Wei, Party Secretary of GREE Electric Appliances, Inc., of Zhuhai, and Xu Jianzhen, President of Deloitte Academy and Partner of Deloitte China, attended the conference and delivered speeches.
The event was also joined by Yu Jianlong, Secretary-General of CCPIT and the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC), and officials from CCOIC Multilateral Cooperation Department.
