On July 15th, the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC) Council Meeting was held in Beijing. At the meeting, the work report of the CCOIC for the first half of 2022 was deliberated on and approved, and Ren Hongbin was elected Chairman of both the CCOIC and the ICC China. Also, three companies were selected as Vice Presidents of units, 14 as Executive Director of units, and nine as Governing units.
Ren Hongbin pointed out in his speech that since the beginning of the year, the CCOIC has made new breakthroughs and reached a new level, which is attributed to the great attention and support of officials of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, to the strong guidance of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), and to the joint efforts of all members and staff of the CCOIC Council. Facing a world living through accelerating changes unseen in a century and standing at a new historical starting point, the CCOIC should adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, act with dedication and sense of responsibility, forge ahead with hard work and concrete efforts, and be committed to excellence. It should also vigorously promote institutional reform and service innovation with a higher stance, broader vision and more practical measures, and further accelerate the achievement of professional services up to international standards and market-oriented operations, so as to provide more targeted services for its members, open up new prospects for its high-quality development in the new era, build itself into a world-leading chamber of commerce with Chinese characteristics, and make new contributions and achievements in China's opening-up at a higher level.
At the meeting, Lv Jun, Chairman of COFCO Corporation, and Lu Yimin, President of China General Technology (Group) Holding Co., Ltd., spoke on behalf of vice chairman members.
