CCPIT Vice Chairman Yu Jianlong Virtually Meets with ICC Chair Maria Fernanda Garza

On October 31st, Yu Jianlong, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and Executive Vice President of the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC), met with Maria Fernanda Garza, Chair of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), via video link. The two sides exchanged views on topics such as participation in ICC headquarters' affairs and further deepening exchanges and cooperation.

Yu Jianlong briefed on the efforts of the CCPIT and CCOIC in four major aspects: trade and investment promotion, commercial legal services, participation in global economic governance and building of the application-oriented think tanks. He said, for a long time, the China International Chamber of Commerce (CICC) has been fully involved in the work of the ICC headquarters in the name of the ICC China National Committee, and in the future, China will further strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the headquarters.

Garza highly recognized and appreciated the participation of Chinese business community in ICC's affairs, and hopes to strengthen cooperation with the CCOIC in terms of advancing the ICC Digital Standards Initiative and boosting the development of small and medium enterprises.

CCOIC Secretary General Sun Xiao also attended the meeting.
