On November 25, the Hengqin extension line project of Macao Light Rapid Transit completed the construction of an undersea tunnel as the Aoqin No.1 shield tunneling machine rolled out.
The project, the first using the shield tunneling method in Macao, has a total length of 2.2 kilometers, of which about 906 meters are under shield tunneling construction. To ensure the smooth excavation of the shield construction, many subsidiaries of CRCC cooperated fully to build the earth pressure balance shield machine "Aoqin 1" tailored to the project's natural geological environment and excavation risk points.
As an important livelihood project for Macau, the project will create a more comfortable and convenient travel environment for residents and help Macao to be included in the "one-hour living circle" in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
