CCPIT Vice Chairman Zhang Shaogang Leads a Delegation to Visit Russia

From October 17 to 20, Zhang Shaogang, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), led a delegation of Chinese entrepreneurs to visit Russia.

During the visit, Zhang Shaogang attended the BRICS Business Forum and spoke at the seminar on “International Trade and Logistics Connectivity in BRICS Countries”. Zhang said that the business community of the BRICS countries should adhere to true multilateralism, opening-up and cooperation and inclusive development, facilitate international cooperation in industrial and supply chains, take advantage of international platforms such as China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE), and make joint efforts to the achievement of greater development of BRICS countries.

During his stay in Russia, Zhang Shaogang met respectively with Sergey Katyrin, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of the Russian Federation, Alexander Shokhin, President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) , Busi Mabuza, Chairman of the BRICS Business Council- South African Chapter, E. Ezz, Secretary-General of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce (FEDCOC), and other counterparts. They exchanged views on deepening practical cooperation of economic and trade between China, Russia and other BRICS countries. Zhang also signed a memorandum of understanding with the Eurasian Economic Union.

In addition, the delegation also visited Zhang Hanhui, the Chinese Ambassador to Russia, and went to local Chinese companies for research.
