From October 23 to 25, Foreign-invested Enterprises Tour in Chongqing was successfully held. Yuan Jiajun, Secretary of Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Hu henghua, Mayor of Chongqing met with Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and relevant guests. The CCPIT signed a memorandum of cooperation with Chongqing Municipality People’s Government, and organized the Government-Business Dialogue and Investment Promotion. Yu Jianlong, Vice Chairman of the CCPIT, Li Mingqing, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee, Shang Kui, member of the Standing Committee of Municipal Committee and the Deputy Mayor of Chongqing, as well as Zheng Xiangdong, Deputy Mayor of Chongqing attended relevant activities.
Co-hosted by CCPIT and the Chongqing Municipality People’s Government, this event represented CCPIT’s pragmatic approaches to implement the guiding principles of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the CPC, enhance services for foreign enterprises, and support Chongqing’s efforts to become a key strategic fulcrum for the development of China’s western region in the new era and a comprehensive hub for inland opening up.
At the Government-Business Dialogue and Investment Promotion, representatives from 17 commissions, counties and districts in Chongqing addressed concerns raised by foreign enterprises and conducted talks for alignment. Representatives also went to Yuzhong District and Liangjiang New Area to investigate the investment environment. Over 60 representatives from more than 30 foreign trade promotion organizations, chambers of commerce in China, and foreign enterprises attended the meeting, including executives from 9 companies of the Fortune Global 500.
