From December 8 to 10, Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) led a delegation to visit Hong Kong. Ren attended and addressed the 2024 Hong Kong-Mainland Joint Business Liaison Committee Meeting and Roundtable Meeting of Business Associations and Enterprises in Hong Kong, and prepared for the organization of the 2nd Business Conference on Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Development.
During the visit, Ren Hongbin met with John Lee Ka-chiu, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), Qi Bin, Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the HKSAR, and engaged in extensive discussions with Peter K N Lam, Chairman of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and members of the Hong Kong business community on deepening economic and trade cooperation between the Mainland and Hong Kong. Ren visited major companies, including Jardine Matheson, HSBC, Swire, and Cathay Pacific, for research purposes, and attended a work report meeting at the CCPIT Representative Office in Hong Kong and China Patent Agent (H. K.) Ltd.
