On December 9, Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), met with John Lee Ka-chiu, the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), in Hong Kong. The two sides had in-depth exchange of views on strengthening the economic and trade exchanges between the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong, promoting high-quality cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative between the business communities of the two places, facilitating the high-quality development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and maintaining the stability of the global industrial and supply chains together.
The two sides said they would work together to promote the success of the Second Business Conference on Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Development, which will be held on December 11 and 12.
