From January 17 to 18, Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), led a delegation of Chinese entrepreneurs to visit Vietnam. As 2025 is designated as the China-Vietnam Cultural Exchange Year, marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations, this visit aimed to encourage Chinese and Vietnamese business communities, following the fundamental guidance of the important consensus reached by the top leaders of the two parties and countries, to enhance communication and interaction and deepen pragmatic cooperation.
During the visit, Ren Hongbin had extensive exchanges with people from the political and business communities of Vietnam and communicated with Nguyen Xuan Thang, Member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, and Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics. He also met with Phan Thi Thang, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Vietnam, and Pham Tan Cong, President of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI). In addition, Ren attended the reception marking 75 years of diplomatic ties between China and Vietnam. He elaborated on China’s progress in pursuing modernization through high-quality development and promoting high-standard opening up. Moreover, views were exchanged on further implementing the Belt and Road Initiative and the Two Corridors and One Economic Circle plan, deepening cooperation in connectivity, trade and investment, and tourism, among other fields, and expanding cooperation in such emerging industries as digital economy and green development. Furthermore, Ren paid study visits to relevant enterprises in Vietnam.
