On January 16, the Exchange Conference between Chinese and Foreign Enterprises and the Annual Meeting of the Working Committee on Foreign-Invested Enterprises of the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC) was held in Beijing. Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the CCOIC, attended and addressed the event. Sun Xiao, Secretary-General of the CCOIC, made a report on the work in 2024 of the Working Committee on Foreign-Invested Enterprises.
Ren Hongbin stated that serving Chinese and foreign businesses is the founding mission of the CCPIT and the cornerstone for its development. Over the past year, adhering to the principles of upholding fundamental principles and breaking new ground, the CCPIT and the CCOIC have built high-quality platforms and provided comprehensive services for enterprises at home and abroad to deepen cooperation and exchange. Relying on the CCPIT’s task forces set up for serving foreign enterprises and the CCOIC’s Working Committee on Foreign-Invested Enterprises, the two organizations have addressed the difficulties and demands of a number of foreign-invested enterprises. Four sessions of the “Foreign-Invested Enterprises Tour in Chinese Localities” were organized, leading to many investment projects and intentions. This has made a positive contribution to supporting foreign-invested enterprises in intensifying their presence in the Chinese market and achieving success in China.
More than 200 representatives from 18 foreign chambers of commerce in China, including the China-Australia Chamber of Commerce and the American Chamber of Commerce in China, as well as over 70 foreign-invested enterprises such as Honeywell and the Asia Pulp & Paper Co., Ltd., attended the meeting.
