On January 13, Li Qiang, Chinese Premier, held talks at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing with Dickon Mitchell, Grenadian Prime Minister, who was on an official visit to China. Following the talks, they witnessed the signing of multiple bilateral cooperation documents in areas including jointly building the Belt and Road, economy, trade, green development, culture, media and climate change.
Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), and Joseph Andall, Grenadian Minister for Foreign Affairs, Trade and Export Development signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Cooperation. The two sides will actively support exchanges between the business communities of the two countries, promoting participation to advance the Belt and Road Initiative. On the basis of deepening cooperation in trade, agriculture, infrastructure, investment and financing, both sides will strengthen cooperation in the digital economy, smart manufacturing, clean energy and low-carbon technologies. Ren, on behalf of the CCPIT, welcomed the Grenadian side to join China-sponsored activities such as the China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) and the China-Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) Business Summit.
