From January 19 to 22, Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), led a delegation of Chinese entrepreneurs to Thailand. This visit aimed to encourage Chinese and Thai business communities to further deliver on the important consensus reached between the leaders of the two countries and take the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand and the “Golden Jubilee of China-Thailand Friendship” as an opportunity to enhance communication and interaction, and deepen pragmatic cooperation.
During the visit, Ren Hongbin had extensive exchanges with people from Thai political and business communities. He met with Akanat Promphan, Minister of Industry of Thailand, Suchart Chomklin, Deputy Minister of Commerce of Thailand, Narucha Ruchuphan, Deputy Secretary General of the Thailand Board of Investment, Sanan Angubolkul, Chairman of the Board of Trade of Thailand, Vikrom Kromadit, Chairman of the Thailand-China Business Council, Narongsak Putthapornmongkol, President of the Thai-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Kriengkrai Thiennukul, Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries, Dhanin Chearavanont, Senior Chairman of the Charoen Pokphand Group, and Saravoot Yoovidhya, Chief Executive Officer of TCP Group. During the meeting, Ren elaborated on China’s progress in pursuing modernization through high-quality development and promoting high-standard opening up. Meanwhile, he emphasized that greater efforts are required to boost practical cooperation between the business communities of the two countries. He looked forward to the active participation of the Thai business community in the third China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE), to deepen bilateral cooperation in industrial and supply chains. In addition, leading the delegation, Ren Hongbin attended and addressed the events cohosted by the CCPIT and the Thai-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, including the Thailand-China Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum and the Third CISCE Thailand Roadshow, and the Thailand-China Business Roundtable. The enterprises and institutions from both sides conducted multiple business negotiations and matchmaking, as well as exchange and promotion activities, reaching fruitful cooperation results.
