From February 10 to 13, Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), led a delegation of Chinese entrepreneurs to Astana and Alma-ata, two cities of Kazakhstan. This visit aimed to encourage Chinese and Kazakh business communities to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of both countries and deepen pragmatic cooperation.
During the visit, Ren Hongbin had extensive exchanges with people from the Kazakhstan’s political and business circles including Nurlan Zhakupov, JSC SWF SAMRUK-KAZYNA Chief Executive Officer, Raimbek Batalov, Chairman of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Atameken” B. Baiseitov, Chairman of the board of Bank Center Credit. Ren briefed them on China’s economic situation and the efforts made to promote Chinese-style modernization with high-quality development and steadily expand high-standard opening up. He also highlighted that China will take the opportunities of the Second China-Central Asia Summit to be held in Kazakhstan this year and the 25th Meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) to be held in China, collaborate with Kazakhstan to successfully host events such as the China-Central Asia Business Council Meeting, the SCO Business Council Meeting, the SCO Business Forum, and the 8th meeting of the China-Kazakhstan Entrepreneurs Committee, aiming to vigorously promote practical cooperation between the business communities of the two countries. Kazakhstan’s business community is welcomed to actively participate in the 3rd China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE).
During the visit, CCPIT and the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs jointly hosted the China-Kazakhstan Entrepreneurial Economic and Trade Fair, where eight cooperation agreements were signed on-site. Enterprises and institutions from both sides also conducted multiple business exchange events and promotional activities focusing on key cooperation areas such as oil and gas trade, clean energy, agricultural collaboration, and international logistics, achieving numerous cooperative outcomes.
