On February 24, the China-Qatar Business Exchange Meeting and Promotion Event for the Third China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) was held in Doha, Qatar. Yu Jianlong, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), attended and addressed the event.
Yu Jianlong emphasized that under the strategic guidance of the leaders of the two countries, China-Qatar relations have witnessed sustained, sound and steady development, with comprehensive and strategic cooperation being carried out. The economies of China and Qatar are highly complementary. The two countries have continuously expanded pragmatic cooperation in energy, infrastructure, equipment manufacturing, and industrial parks, bringing tremendous benefits to both sides. The exchange meeting was held to implement the “five cooperation frameworks” proposed by President Xi Jinping at the 2024 China-Arab States Cooperation Forum, work together to advance the development of emerging industries and strive to write a new chapter in propelling modernization of the Global South with China-Qatar modernization. In addition, Yu said that the CCPIT looked forward to collaborating with the Qatari business community to further facilitate cooperation between the enterprises of the two countries. Participants at the event highlighted that China-Qatar economic and trade cooperation boasts enormous potential and promising prospects. China has been continuously optimizing its trade structure with Qatar. Notable progress has been achieved in bilateral cooperation across sectors such as new energy and high-end equipment manufacturing. The consumption structure has been further refined. All these endeavors are set to propel China-Qatar cooperation to new heights. Qatari enterprises and institutions have shown great enthusiasm in participating in the 3rd CISCE to build a stable China-Qatar industrial and supply chain partnership of mutual trust.
The event focused on promoting the 3rd CISCE. The Qatar China Luyi Industrial Park, the GORD Advisory, the CCPIT Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Committee, and other enterprises and organizations conducted on-site promotions. Chinese and Qatari enterprises and institutions actively engaged in business negotiations, culminating in the signing of multiple agreements.
