China-Germany Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum and 3rd CISCE Promotion Event Held in Baden-Württemberg, Germany

China-Germany Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum and the 3rd China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) Promotion Event were held on February 24, local time, in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), Huang Yiyang,Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Frankfurt, Germany and Johannes Jung, Director of the Department of Strategy and Foreign Economic Affairs of the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Baden-Württemberg attended and delivered speeches at the event. Nearly 200 representatives from business associations, chambers of commerce, and enterprises of both China and Germany participated in the forum.

Ren Hongbin highlighted the major plans of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on further deepening reform comprehensively to advance Chinese modernization, as well as the recently released action plan to stabilize foreign investment in 2025. He said that, five months later, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) has once again organized a delegation of Chinese entrepreneurs to visit Germany, aiming to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of both countries and deepen practical cooperation between the business communities of the two countries. 

The CCPIT is willing to leverage its advantages to support and promote both sides in exploring the potential for trade cooperation, and continue to provide opportunities for high-quality German products such as automobiles and agricultural machinery to enter the Chinese market. It hopes that Germany will relax restrictions on the export of high-tech products to China, promoting a more optimized and balanced development of bilateral trade. Additionally, it encourages more capable Chinese enterprises to invest and develop in Germany and hopes that Germany would provide a more open, fair, just, and non-discriminatory business environment for Chinese enterprises. The CCPIT also supports the two sides in strengthening industrial and supply chain cooperation and welcomes more German enterprises and institutions to actively participate in the 3rd CISCE.

Other speakers generally stated that China and Germany, as the world's second and third largest economies, have always been trusted partners. Their cooperation in fields such as high-end manufacturing, green energy, technological innovation, finance, and pharmaceuticals has yielded fruitful results. In the future, the business communities of both countries will continue to work together, seize opportunities, and strive to write a new chapter in high-level economic and trade cooperation between China and Germany. The German business community will actively participate in the 3rd CISCE. 

During the event, China International Exhibition Center Group Corporation (CIEC Group) signed a letter of intent and a memorandum of cooperation with Völkl Ski Internationaland the China Netzwerk Baden-Württemberg (CNBW) for their participation in the 3rd CISCE.
