On February 27, local time, the China-UAE Trade and Capital Market Forum & The 3rd China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) Roadshow were held in Dubai. Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), Maria AlQassim, Assistant Undersecretary of Economic Policies &Studies, Ministry of Economy, UAE, Khalifa Rabba, Chief Operating Officer at Dubai Financial Market and Nasdaq Dubai, Ou Boqian, Consul General of China in Dubai attended and addressed the event. More than 120 representatives from chambers of commerce, associations, and enterprises from both China and the UAE attended the event.
Ren Hongbin said that this visit aimed to implement the outcomes of the first China-Arab States Summit and the 10th Ministerial Conference of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum, and to promote practical cooperation between the business communities of the two countries. The CCPIT is ready to work with the UAE business community to actively promote the upgrading of bilateral economic and trade cooperation with high-quality Belt and Road cooperation as the guide, expand cooperation in high-tech fields such as renewable energy and the digital economy on the basis of consolidating cooperation in such areas as trade, energy, and infrastructure, and jointly explore third-party markets as well as strengthen cooperation in industrial and supply chains. The CCPIT welcomes more UAE enterprises and institutions to actively participate in the 3rd CISCE and deepen cooperation among the business communities within multilateral mechanisms and collaborate to enhance the representation and voice of emerging market countries and developing countries in the global economic governance system. The CCPIT also welcomes UAE political and business figures to attend the 11th China-Arab Business Conference and the 9th Investment Seminar to be held in Hainan.
During the event, six cooperation agreements were signed on-site between relevant enterprises and institutions from China and the UAE.
