From March 13 to 15, local time, Yu Jianlong, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), led a delegation of Chinese entrepreneurs to visit Portugal to enhance bilateral economic and trade relations and proactively promote mutually beneficial cooperation between Chinese and Portuguese enterprises.
During the visit, Yu Jianlong held separate meetings with António Noronha, President of the Portugal-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCILC), Bernardo Mendia, Secretary-General of CCILC, and Joana Gaspar, Executive Board Member of Portuguese Trade & Investment Agency (AICEP). Yu highlighted the current situation of China’s economy and opening up, emphasizing that China will ramp up its efforts to expand practical cooperation between the business communities of both countries. Moreover, he invited Portuguese enterprises to actively participate in the 3rd China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) to deepen cooperation in global industrial and supply chains.
As part of the visit, the CCPIT and the CCILC co-hosted the China-Portugal Economic and Trade Seminar and the Promotion Event of the 3rd CISCE, where Yu delivered remarks. Chinese and Portuguese companies and institutions engaged in multiple business matchmaking events and promotional business talks, yielding several cooperation agreements.
Additionally, the delegation met with Zhao Bentang, Chinese Ambassador to Portugal.
