On March 20, local time, the 3rd China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) Mexico Roadshow was held in Mexico City by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT). Zhu Jian, Charge d'Affaires, the Chinese Embassy in Mexico, Cesar Jesús Fragoso, Vice President of the Mexico-China Chamber of Commerce and Technology (MCCCT), Alejandra García, General Manager for the Asia-Pacific Region of the Mexican Council for Foreign Trade, Investment and Technology; and Zhou Shengyu, President of the Mexican Association of Chinese Enterprises (CRECMEXICO), among others, attended and addressed the event.
Zhu Jian stated that China and Mexico have long been important economic and trade partners with fruitful trade and investment cooperation outcomes. In addition, he said that China welcomes more Mexican enterprises to leverage the CISCE to connect with high-quality partners, strengthen synergy and complementarity with downstream and upstream enterprises, and build supply chains into “win-win chains”.
Representatives from the Mexican business community highlighted that at the 2nd CISCE, Mexican companies demonstrated their strengths and potential in such sectors as automotive, electronics, and information technology, revealing broad cooperation prospects. They also said that the 3rd CISCE this year will offer new opportunities for these companies to consolidate achievements, expand international markets, and enhance their global competitiveness. Meanwhile, this event serves not only as an exchange platform for advanced manufacturing, smart vehicle and other sectors, but also as a vital bridge for international cooperation and innovation. They pledged to proactively organize enterprises and professionals to participate, making the 3rd CISCE a new milestone in China-Mexico and broader global economic cooperation.
Over 60 representatives of Chinese and Mexican business associations and enterprises attended the event. The CCPIT Representative Office in Mexico conducted on-site promotion for the 3rd CISCE and signed cooperation agreements with relevant Mexican institutions.
