In his speech, Ren Hongbin said that President Xi Jinping pointed out that the Earth is the only home for humanity, and we must all care for and cherish it together. The Chinese government has actively supported Japan in hosting the Osaka Expo and attached great importance to China’s participation in the Osaka Expo. The China Pavilion was meticulously organized and prepared by the CCPIT in collaboration with various parties. It is hoped that through the wonderful display and rich activities of the China Pavilion, the world will see a thriving, confident, and open China, leaving a stunning, unforgettable Chinese mark on the Osaka Expo. Additionally, the effort also aimed to make active contributions to an equal and orderly multipolar world and a universally beneficial and inclusive economic globalization.

Foreign guests highly praised the architectural appearance and wonderful exhibition items of the China Pavilion and admired the profound heritage of the 5,000-year-old Chinese civilization and the brilliant achievements of high-quality development in the new era shown in the China Pavilion. Furthermore, they agreed with its theme: “Building a Community of Life for Man and Nature—Future Society of Green Development” and looked forward to strengthening mutual learning and achieving mutual benefit and win-win results through the Osaka Expo.

Ren Hongbin announced the official opening of the China Pavilion at the Osaka Expo on the spot and watched with the guests the dance drama Crested Ibis commemorating the China-Japan friendship. He also visited the China Pavilion in person.

During his visit to Japan, Ren Hongbin attended the opening ceremony and welcome reception of the Osaka Expo, conducted research on local Japanese companies, and had extensive exchanges with the Japanese business community.

The Expo 2025 Osaka will be held from April 13 to October 13, 2025, under the theme of “Designing Future Society for Our Lives.” Covering an area of 3,509 square meters, the China Pavilion stands as one of the largest foreign self-built pavilions at this Expo. It consists of three sections, namely, Harmony between Humanity and Nature, Green Mountains and Clear Waters, and Endless Vitality. For the first time, soil samples collected from both sides of the moon by China’s Chang’e 5 and Chang’e 6 lunar probes will be displayed. Other highlights included: an experience capsule of China’s deep-sea manned submersible Jiaolong, next-generation humanoid robots, a smart city sandtable demonstrating the integration of eight networks (energy, transportation, digital, water, ecology, industry, health, and cultural networks), a large-scale multimedia dynamic installation themed on the 24 Solar Terms, and a dynamic digital scroll painting, Pictures of Tilling and Weaving. All these aim to showcase China’s traditional ecological wisdom and its philosophy of green development, boost exchanges and mutual learning between Chinese and foreign civilizations and foster closer people-to-people ties.
