On April 28, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the China Chamber of International Commerce successfully hosted the 2025 BRICS Women’s Leadership Forum. Nie Wenhui, Vice Chairman of the CCPIT, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.
Nie Wenhui noted that since its establishment in 2020, the BRICS Women’s Business Alliance has upheld the mission of “empowering women’s development and unlocking economic potential.” It has held four innovation and startup contests for women and organized dozens of economic and trade events, becoming a major highlight of the BRICS cooperation mechanism. He hoped that future cooperation among BRICS women would remain visionary and enterprising, strengthen cooperation mechanisms, jointly build development platforms, and share practical experiences. By deepening cooperation and expanding friendship, they can inject new vitality into the high-quality development of “Greater BRICS Cooperation.”
The forum, themed “Weaving Wonders: Women’s Business Leadership Driving BRICS Economic Cooperation,” included an opening ceremony, keynote speeches, panel discussions, and matchmaking exchanges. Over 300 participants attended, including diplomats from relevant countries in China, representatives from international organizations and business associations, and distinguished female leaders from the political and business communities.
