On May 13, under the witness of the heads of state of China and Brazil, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Cooperation between the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil) was signed by Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the CCPIT, and Jorge Viana, President of the Apex-Brasil. The two parties pledged to actively promote exchanges between the industrial and commercial sectors of China and Brazil. Building on existing cooperation in trade, agriculture, rural development, infrastructure, investment and financing, the CCPIT and the Apex-Brasil will deepen collaboration on digital economy, intelligent manufacturing, clean energy, low-carbon technology and other fields. The CCPIT also invited the Brazilian counterpart to participate in major events including the China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) and the China-Latin America Entrepreneurs Summit.
