CCPIT Vice Chairman Nie Wenhui Leads Delegation to Costa Rica

From May 9 to 10, Nie Wenhui, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), led a delegation to Costa Rica. He met with several Costa Rican officials and business leaders, including Fernando Vargas Pérez, Vice Minister of Agriculture and Livestock; Adriana Castro, Director General of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Foreign Trade; Rodney Salazar, President of the Costa Rican Chamber of Foreign Commerce, and Rodrigo Delgado Soto, former Costa Rican Ambassador to China. Nie introduced China’s current economic situation and opening-up measures, engaging in discussions with the Costa Rican side on key topics such as in-depth cooperation in agriculture, livestock, and other sectors, as well as upholding multilateralism and free trade. He also invited the Costa Rican side to participate in events such as the 3rd China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) and the 18th China-Latin America Entrepreneurs Summit.

During the visit, Nie Wenhui attended and addressed the China-Costa Rica Economic and Trade Matchmaking Event and the 3rd CISCE Promotion Conference. He met with Wang Xiaoyao, Chinese Ambassador to Costa Rica, carried out research in local specialty agricultural product enterprises, and visited the CCPIT Representative Office in Costa Rica. Additionally, Nie held discussions with representatives of Chinese enterprises operating in Costa Rica. Practical business matchmaking activities were conducted between enterprises from both sides, with relevant companies and institutions signing cooperation agreements.
