On the afternoon of July 18, the Thematic Event on Healthy Life of the 3rd China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) was held in Beijing. The event was attended and addressed by: Li Xingqian, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT); Siddharth Chatterjee, United Nations Resident Coordinator in China; Li Yaoqiang, Chairman of China National Salt Industry Corporation; and Ren Minghui, Director of Peking University (PKU) China Center for Health Development Studies and Director of PKU Institute for Global Health. Keynote speeches were given by George Vidonish, Global Senior Vice President of GE Healthcare; Yin Ye, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of BGI Group; Tetsuro Homma, Global Vice President of Panasonic Holdings; Li Jianquan, Chairman of Winner Medical; and Marc-Antoine Poulle, Senior Vice President for North Asia & China Operations of L’Oréal.
Li Xingqian stated that in recent years, digital technology and biotechnology have flourished. A people-centered comprehensive health ecosystem is becoming a new frontier for innovation, development, and cooperation. The CISCE has consistently focused on this emerging global industry with tremendous growth potential. For three consecutive years, it has featured a dedicated Healthy Life Supply Chain exhibition zone, attracting active participation from Fortune 500 companies and industry leaders. Their strong presence fully demonstrates the latest developments and cutting-edge practices in the comprehensive health industry.
Carrie Liu, Lead for Health and Healthcare at the World Economic Forum; Liu Zhi, Director of the Research Office for Innovation and Development at the China National Health Development Research Center; Xia Quan, Global Vice President of Qualcomm; and Li Qingchuan, Vice President of Dong-E-E-Jiao Co., Ltd., engaged in a panel discussion on Industry-Academia-Research Collaboration to Advance Technological Innovation and Smart Living. The China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC) Medical and Healthcare Industry Committee concurrently held its annual working meeting.
Hosted by the CCOIC, with support from PKU China Center for Health Development Studies and Nike Sports (China) Co., Ltd., this event was themed “Envisioning a Smart and Healthy Life.” The gathering brought together over 300 participants, including representatives from international organizations and business associations, experts, scholars, and Chinese and foreign entrepreneurs.
