On March 13, the Kenya Economic and Trade Exchange Meeting, a part of the China International Chamber of Commerce (CCOIC) Member Salon series, was successfully held in Beijing. Liu Jiannan, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and CCOIC, attended the event and delivered a speech, while Willy Bett, Kenyan Ambassador to China, delivered a speech via video.
Liu Jiannan stated that Kenya is an important economic and trade cooperation partner of China in Africa, and the two sides enjoy broad prospects for cooperation. He hoped that Chinese enterprises would take this exchange meeting as an opportunity to seize the dividends of zero tariffs and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.
During the meeting, Lynette Mwende, Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of the Republic of Kenya in China, promoted Kenya’s investment environment and cooperation advantages. Representatives of Chinese enterprises shared their investment experience in Kenya and conducted exchanges and connections.
