Ren Hongbin Meets with Apple CEO Tim Cook and PhRMA President and CEO Stephen J. Ubl

On March 20, Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), met respectively in Beijing with Tim Cook, CEO of Apple Inc., and Stephen J. Ubl, President and CEO of the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA). They exchanged views on enhancing communications between the Chinese and American business communities, participating in 2026 APEC business activities, and deepening cooperation in technology and pharmaceuticals.

Ren Hongbin highlighted the guiding principles of China’s 2026 Two Sessions and the 15th Five-Year Plan, noting that China will continue to expand high-standard opening up, advance high-quality development, and accelerate the cultivation of new quality productive forces, bringing more opportunities for companies and institutions from the United States and beyond. The CCPIT will continue to build high-quality economic and trade promotion platforms and provide comprehensive services to support foreign-invested enterprises in achieving better development in China.
