Thematic Event on Green Agriculture Successfully Held in Beijing

On the afternoon of June 23, the Thematic Event on Green Agriculture was successfully held in Beijing during the 4th China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE). Lin Honghong, Vice Chairperson of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), Jin Shuqin, Deputy Director General of the Department of Development and Planning of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Chen Gang, Vice President of COFCO Corporation, and Yang Chaoqun, Vice President of Yili Group, attended the event and delivered speeches.

Lin Honghong pointed out that agriculture is a critical area for sustainable development. Facing multiple global challenges such as continuous population growth, climate change, and resource scarcity, accelerating the comprehensive green transformation of agricultural development and strengthening international cooperation in agriculture have become objective requirements for promoting harmony between humanity and nature, earning widespread recognition from the international community. Continuing the practice of the previous three sessions, the 4th CISCE set up the Green Agriculture Chain Zone to comprehensively showcase core technologies and products across all links from "farm" to "table", aiming to build consensus and contribute wisdom and strength toward driving agricultural green transformation.

During the event, guest speakers engaged in exchanges on topics such as green technology promoting industry chain synergy, building a globally-oriented green supply chain, and brand empowerment enhancing agricultural value competitiveness, exploring practical paths for green technology to elevate the value and efficiency of the global agricultural industry chain, and conducting in-depth discussions on deepening international agricultural cooperation and boosting global agricultural brand value.

Hosted by the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC), the event was themed "Driving High-Quality Agricultural Development through Green Transformation", and brought together over 200 participants, including representatives from relevant government departments, international organizations, counterpart institutions, business associations, experts, scholars, and Chinese and foreign corporate leaders.
