On the afternoon of June 24, the Thematic Event on Smart Transportation was successfully held in Beijing during the 4th China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE). Liu Jiannan, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC), Zhou Weidong, Chairman of the CCPIT Machinery Sub-council, and Marcus Kneifel, Senior Vice President of Systems Engineering at onsemi attended and addressed the event. Wu Songquan, Senior Chief Expert at the China Automotive Technology and Research Center, delivered a keynote speech.
Liu Jiannan stated that, currently, Driven by accelerating breakthroughs in artificial intelligence and other technologies, the transportation sector is embracing disruptive transformations and historic opportunities, making smart transportation the most vibrant field of development. The CCPIT will further leverage its role in bridging government and enterprises, integrating domestic and international markets, and coordinating supply and demand. In collaboration with all relevant parties, it will establish high-quality platforms and provide comprehensive services to facilitate cooperation between Chinese and foreign enterprises in the smart transportation sector.
During the event, guest speakers engaged in exchanges on topics such as "AI-Driven: Intelligent Driving and the Smart Upgrading of Transportation Systems" and "New Energy Empowerment: Green Power and Global Transportation Supply Chain Collaboration."
Jointly hosted by the CCOIC and the CCPIT Machinery, and supported by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the event was themed "Steering Toward a New Era of Smart Transportation." It brought together over 200 participants, including representatives from relevant government departments, international organizations, business associations, Chinese and foreign enterprises, as well as experts and scholars.
