On the morning of June 23, the Thematic Event on Innovation Chain Zone was successfully held in Beijing during the 4th China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE). Liu Jiannan, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC), and Wang Ningling, President of Licensing Executives Society International (LESI), attended the event and delivered opening remarks. Jiang Mingtao, Director General of the China National Industrial Information Security Development Research Center, Li Cheng, Deputy General Manager of Intellectual Property Publishing House, and Wang Jiwu, Chairman of Tus-Holdings, among other guests, delivered keynote speeches.
Liu Jiannan pointed out that intellectual property is the "protection net" for innovation achievements, the "catalyst" for new quality productive forces, the "golden key" to unlocking the innovation chain, and the "common language" for global innovation cooperation. He called for better strengthening the protection and application of intellectual property rights through three main approaches: first, building consensus to improve global intellectual property governance through open cooperation; second, strengthening protection to safeguard enterprise innovation and development with high-level services; and third, smoothing paths to promote the transformation of scientific and technological achievements through efficient application.
During the event, guest speakers, looking ahead to the commencement of China’s "15th Five-Year Plan," delivered in-depth interpretations of relevant intellectual property innovation policies and trends, focused on key links in technology transformation and application around the forms of empowerment in the process of turning innovation achievements into practical outcomes, and deeply explored the development path for the deep integration of the innovation chain, industrial chain, capital chain, and talent chain. The event featured the first release of the The 4th Chain Expo Innovation Chain International Cooperation Annual Report (2025-2026), the launch of the "Mediation First, Diverse Dispute Resolution" Pilot Mediation Service for Cross-Border E-commerce Intellectual Property Rights, the launch of the 8th Industrial Internet Contest and the release of the new edition of AI Changes the World: New Developments in Artificial Intelligence and the Intelligent Computing Economy.
Hosted by the CCOIC and organized by the Department of Legal Affairs of CCPIT and the Commercial Legal Services Center of CCPIT, the event was themed "Integrating Innovation, Connecting the Future: Technological and Industrial Innovation for the Development of New Quality Productive Forces" and brought together over 200 participants, including representatives from relevant government departments, international organizations, research institutes, intellectual property trading and appraisal agencies, legal practices, and sci-tech innovation enterprises.
