CCOIC attends 301 Public Hearing in the U.S.

The Culture and Tourism Committee of China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC) and its first plenary session were held in Beijing on May 28. Gao Yan, Chairperson of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and CCOIC, and Wang Xiaofeng, a member of the Leading Party Members Group of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism attended and addressed the inauguration. Li Jinsheng, Vice Chairman of CCOIC, Chairman of the Preparatory Committee of the CCOIC Culture and Tourism Committee and the China Arts and Entertainment Group Ltd. and Zhang Yi, CCOIC’s Deputy Secretary-General hosted the inauguration.

Gao Yan said, the establishment of culture and tourism committee is not only a necessity to promote domestic culture and tourism enterprises to go global, but an urgent need to give full play to CCOIC’s role in better serving the development of culture and tourism enterprises.

“I hope CCOIC Culture and Tourism Committee can raise political awareness and enhance confidence in Chinese culture; build cooperation platforms to promote the integrated development of cultural and tourism industries; facilitate communication channels to boost international exchanges and cooperation; and raise the level of service to create a demonstration effect,” added Gao.

The Culture and Tourism Committee is the implementation platform of CCPIT and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism’s mechanisms for cultural cooperation with foreign countries. Nearly 100 officials of 50 renowned or leading companies and organizations in culture and tourism industries attended the inauguration. Li Jinsheng was elected chairman of the Culture and Tourism Committee. Management Provisions and Implementation Rules of the Culture and Tourism Committee of the China Chamber of International Commerce, Resolution of the First Plenary Session of the 1st Culture and Tourism Committee of the China Chamber of International Commerce and the annual working program were reviewed and adopted at the session.
